Keith Enright is a recognized expert in the field of data privacy and information management.  For several years, he has been one of a small group of thought leaders advocating a transition to a more comprehensive "enterprise information risk management" approach, away from traditional stovepiped competencies such as privacy, information security, and records management.  He has held leadership roles with large, multi-national Fortune 500 companies as well as high-growth start-ups, and has developed expertise beyond information risk in online advertising and mobile marketing, social networking and web 2.0, and national and international retailing.

As Vice President, Privacy and chief privacy officer for Macy's Inc., with over 800 Macy's and Bloomingdales locations, Keith is responsible for customer and employee privacy and related information management across the Macy's enterprise, and serves on the managing board of the Macy's Credit and Customer Services division.

Prior joining Macy's, Mr. Enright was Senior Attorney and Director of Enterprise Information Policy for Limited Brands, Inc.. (Subsidiaries included Victoria's Secret, Bath & Body Works, Express, Limited Stores, La Senza, Henri Bendel, C.O. Bigelow and White Barn Candle Company.) Previously, Mr. Enright was Senior Consultant and Privacy Technology Lead for the IBM Business Consulting Services Security, Privacy, and Wireless practice in Washington, D.C., and served as General Counsel and Vice President, ISP Relations for Adknowledge, Inc.. He is a founding executive member of the Global Retail Executive Council, is a charter member of the IAPP Privacy Advisor Advisory Board, and served as a charter member of the NAI Email Service Provider Coalition on behalf of Adknowledge, Inc..  He is a Steering Committee Member of the Corporate Privacy Forum.

Mr. Enright has been a guest speaker at Harvard Law School's Berkman Center for Internet and Society on several occasions, and at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He is a frequent speaker at leading industry events, and has often been quoted in the media regarding privacy and security issues. Selected speaking engagements include: serving as a featured speaker at the 2009 RetailConnections Business Executive Summit, as Chairman of the 2006 Security Compliance Summit, presenting a workshop on Notice of Breach Legislation at the 2006 InfoSec World Conference, serving as a panelist at the 2005 Summit on Managing IT and Security Compliance, serving as a panelist at the 2003 National Conference of State Legislatures on the topic "Industry Perspectives on Internet Privacy", serving as a guest panelist for Harvard Law School's Berkman Center for Internet & Society 2001 online lecture series, "E-Commerce: An Introduction", participating in the 2003 Aspen Institute Internet Policy Project, "The Accountable Net", and serving as a faculty member for the Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education course: "Data Privacy in the New Information Age." He has authored and contributed to a number of publications dealing with business and legal aspects of privacy and information management, and holds the Certified Information Privacy Professional/Government (CIPP/G) certification.

Mr. Enright is highly involved in shaping and developing business best practices and methodologies around data stewardship and information management. He has previously served as the Chair of the Privacy Working Group of Computer Professionals for Social Responsibility, and has served on a number of American Bar Association Committees relating to privacy and related legal issues.

Keith is a graduate of the George Washington University Law School, where he was a member of the Trial Court and Alternative Dispute Resolution Boards. He holds a Bachelor of Arts, summa cum laude, from the University of Massachusetts, where he was a member of the Phi Beta Kappa, Pi Sigma Alpha, Golden Key, Phi Kappa Phi, and Alpha Lambda Delta national honor societies. He is a member of the Maryland State Bar.
